My work focuses on dark realistic style with a painterly approach and ethereal, atmospheric imagery, aiming to create evocations of presence that feel cinematic and alive. TERMS OF SERVICE
General
- By commissioning me, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of service.
Will do: character art and illustration, creatures, landscapes, vintage, modern, antique and medieval settings, classical-like portraits, couples, romanstasy, OCs, fan art. I'm fine with artistic nudity, blood or scars, soft NSFW (18+ only).
Won't do: technical designs, line art, furry, anime, explicit gore, mecha robots.Please note: I will paint kids and teenagers for fantasy books, books for children, fairy tales, etc., but I only accept romantic commissions featuring characters who are 18+.- The final artwork will reflect my creative style. Visual references/moodboards and clear descriptions of your ideas are appreciated.- I reserve the right to accept or decline any commission request.- For contractual or commercial inquiries, publishers, authors, musicians, studios, collabs, please contact me via email [email protected]. I can provide a quote based on the scope and intended usage of the work and we can discuss.
Please note: some of my existing artworks are available for licensing, including for album and book projects.
Payment
- The final price will be confirmed once all details have been provided. Work will begin only after payment is received. Payments are accepted in EUR via PayPal invoice.- Payment options are either 100% upfront, or 50% upfront and 50% after sketch approval. Payment plans may be available for larger commissions or long term contracts.- The deposit is required and is non-refundable. All payments are non-refundable.
The exception is if I cancel the commission myself due to personal reasons or unexpected life events, then refund will be issued.
Timeline
- Completion time 2- 3 months, depending on my workload. A more precise estimate will be provided during the commissioning process.- If you require a specific deadline or rush delivery, this must be discussed beforehand.
Rush orders incur an additional fee based on urgency.
Process
- Rough sketch will be sent first. I work in a painterly "oil like" non-line style, and I prefer to block values, composition and main colors straight away.
I will not proceed beyond the sketch stage without approval to ensure we are aligned, I want to make sure your like your commission. During the sketch phase, you may request changes (e.g. features, details, and one major change like pose/ composition). After the sketch is approved, any major changes will require an additional charge, minor changes are fine. One small revision is included before the final rendering.- Final high resolution artwork is delivered digitally as a PNG file via e-mail/ Google Drive. If you need a specific format (square, horizontal), please let me know in advance.
Usage Rights
- All commissions are for personal use only unless a separate commercial agreement is arranged. Personal-use artwork may not be used for profit, resale, marketing, merchandise, or the promotion of any existing or future commercial projects without prior permission and payment of a commercial fee.- Types of commercial licensing:
Simple online promotional license. If you’d like to post the artwork on your social media, websites, share it with your readers, use it to help promote your book/ future commercial project before publication. Printing, cover art, not included.
Non-exclusive commercial license. Used when the artwork will appear on the book or music album cover, in the interior of the book, in paid advertising, or attached to any product being sold. Ebook and physical book/ CD/ printed materials included.
Exclusive commercial license. All of the above + exclusive rights and merchandise rights (prints, stickers, clothing, special editions etc).- For personal non-commercial commissions, feel free to upload the artwork to your social media, set as a wallpaper or print it for yourself, credit is given (@tagging or “Art by Helgeann”). You may request a signed A3 FineArt print shipped to your postal address.- All my artworks may not be used for AI training /machine learning /NFT.- In cases of any unauthorized distribution, legal measures will be taken if required.- I retain all copyright. You can not claim commissioned piece as your own. Artwork may not be edited, recolored, altered or have the signature removed without my consent.- I retain the right to showcase commissioned work in my portfolio, social media etc., unless otherwise requested. Some types of artworks may be used to create limited edition prints. If you prefer the artwork to remain exclusive, a buyout option is available.- You may request anonymity (no public credit) or full privacy (the artwork will not be shared publicly). A privacy fee may apply for complete restriction.
